Positions Available:
Two-Way Radio Technician/Installer
Service and install two-way radio communication systems, including two way radios, repeaters and base stations. Must be proficient in electrical circuit trouble-shooting and the operation of test equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide solution to customer's problems/needs.
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year vehicle installation experience and/or two to four year electronics degree is required. Must be able to climb ladders and work on roof tops.
Radio Telecommunications Bench Technician
Responsible for the installation, alignment, maintenance and troubleshooting of VHF/UHF and trunked two-way radios for customers and fixed sites. Determines methodology for installing radio systems, appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, RF transmit and receive systems, antennas, and install communication circuits. Work in shop or travel to locations to repair and troubleshoot equipment. Handle equipment programming and alignment.
Understanding of RF theory and basic electronics to the component level. Proficient in the use of a communications analyzer, electrical circuit trouble-shooting and operation of test equipment. 0-3 years related experience with RF communications & Radio. Experience with Motorola communication equipment (e.g. 2-way radios) and public safety systems is a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent and/or two to four year electronics degree is required. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights and on roof tops. Advanced knowledge of DOS and Windows OS is required.
Radio Telecommunications Technician II - Infrastructure
Responsible for the installation, alignment, maintenance and troubleshooting of VHF/UHF and trunked two-way radio, microwave, consoles and other telecommunications equipment for customers and fixed sites. Determines methodology for installing radio systems, appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, RF transmit and receive systems, antennas, and install communication circuits. Travel to fixed site locations to repair and troubleshoot equipment. Handle equipment programming and alignment.
Understanding of basic electronics to the component level. Have the ability to read and understand schematics, board layouts, and other technical diagrams. Proficient in the use of a communications analyzer, electrical circuit trouble-shooting and the operation of test equipment. 3-5 years related experience with RF Theory, Radio and/or Microwave communications equipment. Knowledge of Fiber Optic technology. Experience with Motorola communication equipment and Public Safety markets is a plus.
Associates degree or equivalent in electronics is desired. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights and on roof tops. Advanced knowledge of DOS and Windows OS required.
Radio and Network Telecommunications Technician III - Infrastructure
The Radio and Network Telecommunications Technician III is responsible for the installation, alignment, maintenance and troubleshooting of VHF/UHF and trunked two-way radio and microwave equipment for customers and fixed sites. This may include the lead and direction of others on the team or a project.
Design, Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain VHF/UHF and trunked two-way radios, microwave systems, consoles, wireless broadband backhaul networks and other telecommunications equipment. Discuss equipment operation and maintenance with customer and train customer on proper operation of equipment.
Work closely with Sales Team to support RF Services in new markets (backhaul and RF coverage). This includes conducting detailed design reviews and market audits to ensure that all network objectives are fulfilled for backhaul and RF coverage. Train local market field techs to ensure that RF testing is done correctly. Analyze test results and work closely with RF team to optimize network design models. Work with NOC techs and Tier 3 providers to help test and troubleshoot RF systems and backhaul issues. Work with equipment suppliers to identify new product and resolve product defects.
Determine methodology for installing radio systems, appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, RF transmit and receive systems, antennas, and installs communication circuits. Monitors and maintains the company's network systems. Travel to fixed site locations to repair and troubleshoot equipment. Handle equipment programming and alignment. Prepare, complete and maintain appropriate job tickets, warranty forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Understanding of basic electronics to the component level. Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network. Working knowledge of RF planning & propagation tools. Knowledge of general MUX systems as applied to Microwave Systems. Knowledge and working experience with Fiber Optic technology. Proficient in the use of a communications analyzer, electrical circuit trouble-shooting and operation of test equipment. Six (6) or more years related experience with RF Theory, Radio systems and Microwave communications equipment. Experience with Motorola communication equipment and Public Safety markets is a plus. Associates degree or equivalent in electronics is desired. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights and on roof tops. Advanced knowledge of DOS and Windows OS required.
Tower Foreman
Provide direction and supervision to our tower construction crews. Direct the completion of wireless communication tower construction and maintenance projects, coordinate with customers and suppliers. Responsible for the continual training of crew members and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. 5+ years tower construction experience including knowledge of technical measurements, survey equipment and ability to read blue prints.
Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check as well as possess a valid/current DOT medical card, First Aid/CPR certification, OSHA 30 hour, Hoisting license 1b, Com Train and Mass Builders License preferred.
Tower Technicians - Entry Level and/or Experienced
Install, maintain and service various communications towers throughout New England. Must be able to safely climb with total control and work comfortably at heights of 200+ feet. Previous construction, vocational/technical schooling or military experience preferred.
CAD Operator
The CAD operator prepares detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams and tower site plans to support construction and permitting personnel. Responsible for the maintenance of the in-house electronic drawing library and assisting the surveying of new sites and marking boundaries for construction.
2-5 years AutoCAD experience required. Solid understanding of drafting methods and techniques and familiarity of engineering terminology and solid knowledge of general construction practices required. Must be able to prepare drawings based on written and verbal instructions. Must have a mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of mathematical calculations. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Must be detail oriented with good communication skills.
